By supporting organic cotton growers in Texas, California, New Mexico and Missouri, we help preserve, as well as, revitalize family farms and local rural communities.

Organic cotton eliminates chemicals released into local communities by honoring traditional methods of sustainable farming.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton, void of toxic chemicals, is strong and resilient, and naturally hypo-allergenic. Comfortable and soft, so skin is never irritated; organic cotton fibers are breathable and absorbent, thus maximizing air circulation and minimizing perspiration.

Organic cotton is raw cotton that is produced totally free of synthetic chemical pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. Beneficial organisms such as parasites and natural enemies are used for insect management in place of agricultural pesticides. Organic cotton is a non-toxic, sustainable alternative to conventional cotton. Cotton is biodegradable and a renewable resource.

The conventional, industrialized cotton plant absorbs all of the chemicals that modern fertilizers deposit in the soil. It becomes saturated with pesticides and herbicides. Conventional cotton, moreover, externalizes many costs, especially environmental degradation and unfair labor practices.

Conversely, organic cotton is grown using sustainable methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

Handcrafted Organic Manufacturing pays tribute to organic cotton farmers that take responsibility for all the costs — financial, environmental, and human. The true essence of land stewardship and community responsibility.
